Global Talent Management (GTM) is centrally responsible for creating and evolving Amazon’s human capital and talent programs and processes. GTM Science is the cross-disciplinary science team with GTM and a growing start-up team with direct impact on Amazonians across all of our businesses and locations around the world. We play a crucial role in ensuring top notch science services and products facilitate Amazon’s growth and development of talent in intelligent and curious ways. We use science-driven insights to pitch ideas and drive conversations with Amazon’s Senior Vice President of HR and other executives about how to improve existing talent programs to solve organizational problems focused on (but not limited to) talent differentiation, talent movement, employee-role matching, product integration, promotion practices, organization design and succession planning, and diversity and inclusion, or invent new ones that address the evolving needs of our diverse employee base.

We are looking for a science-savvy Product Manager – Tech to drive the vision to build ‘Science As a Service’ and be the voice of science and program management communities across Amazon HR to define prioritization across GTM’s vast science project portfolio. The ideal candidate relishes working with both scientists and business stakeholders. He/she has experience managing the launch of data science-driven projects and is familiar with the concepts, process and framework in machine learning and feature engineering science project. He/she has sound product judgment and trust-building ability to focus the science team’s efforts on a well-thought-out roadmap to deliver on schedule. He/she is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoys working in a fast-paced and global team. Core Responsibilities:
1) Define the product roadmap for GTM Science’s vision to build ‘Science as a Service’ for HR
2) Establish mechanism and manage the intake, scoping and prioritization of GTM Science’s project portfolio
3) Break down large, complex projects into product milestone releases — develop detailed business requirements, user stories, and product specifications for each planned release
4) Make hard, high-judgment trade-offs between performance, features, and speed-to-market, while mitigating risks
5) Be the champion for science in front of senior stakeholders

Basic Qualifications


· MBA or Master’s degree in science or technical filed
· Prior experience leading data science products/projects
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Demonstrated experience building buy-in for innovative solutions in a high-growth environment
· Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
· Success working to build products with remote team members
· Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audiences
· Experience leading large cross-functional initiatives that require interactions with a broad range of stakeholders and senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications
