The Human Resources Central Science Team (HRCS) uses economics, behavioral science, statistics, and machine learning to proactively identify mechanisms and process improvements which simultaneously improve Amazon and the lives, wellbeing, and the value of work to Amazonians. We are an interdisciplinary team which combines the talents of science and engineering to develop and deliver solutions that measurably achieve this goal.

We are looking for an experienced product manager who is customer obsessed, and thrives in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment, solid communication and project management skills. Due to the interdisciplinary nature and breadth of the areas of interest, the ideal candidate will coordinate across many internal and external teams, and provide visibility to the senior leaders of the company with their strong written and oral communication skills. This role will suit self-driven individuals who can organize themselves and the team quickly, provide product vision and strategy, and seamlessly work with economists, applied scientists, software and data engineers, managers, Amazon Scholars, and Amazon senior leadership. We need individuals with demonstrated ability to learn quickly, think big, execute both strategically and tactically, and motivate and mentor their team to deliver business values to our customers on time. They have creative and startup mindsets, and are always excited to take on new and ambiguous projects, and have an eye for detail and seamless coordination across technical and business stakeholders. No task is too small for them.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree
· 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
· Experience with end to end product delivery
· Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
· Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
· Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
1. 6+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, or business development in the full product lifecycle (from concept to delivery to maturity).
2. BS or BA in computer science, engineering, math, finance, marketing, or economics.
3. Experience building processes, project management plans, and release schedules, and employing effective risk management to large programs.
4. Demonstrated skills in capturing business requirements, launching projects, and conducting customer research.
5. Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects with competing priorities and diverse team members.
6. Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record for delivering results in fast-moving environment.
7. Experience working within an interdisciplinary team consisting of scientists and engineers.
8. Advanced degree in a related field (computer science, engineering, math, finance, marketing, economics, or MBA).
9. PhD or broad research experience in economics, statistics, machine learning or data science, or computer science.
10. Experience delivering results at the executive level.
11. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.
