Why it Matters: Our new Vice President, Growth Marketing will help develop and execute content strategy across multiple platforms to help rapidly grow our audience and brand awareness.

Go Deeper: This person will work closely with multiple departments to improve the audience journey and drive subscriber growth. You'll be asked to: 

  • Provide key metrics and hypotheses on current data to focus on key priorities
  • Establish an audience data append strategy and establish data partnerships that deliver broader information
  • Manage all targeting, segmentation and personal development for list development, membership engagement and client delivery campaigns
  • Develop and execute cross platform content that rapidly grows our following, brand awareness and monetization opportunities
  • Establish third party relationships that grow overall subscriber/visitor lists and composition
  • Champion the launch of new products by working with the communications team

The Details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for Axios’ mission and have the following skills: 

  • Creative thinker who is able to switch from data-heavy scenarios to developing creative, unique campaigns
  • Prior experience in digital marketing, community management and content creation in the media industry
  • Experience in strategizing and creating a play for subscriber growth and communicating plans to executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong analytic skills and familiarity with audience segmentation
  • Established relationships within and knowledge of the media and advertising industries
  • Strong project/program management experience (i.e. resource allocation, prioritization, etc)
  • Experience in strategizing and creating a play for subscriber growth and communicating plans to executive-level stakeholders
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience in strategizing and creating a play for subscriber growth
