CompanyToyota Research Institute - Advanced Development (TRI-AD) was established in March 2018 as a $2.8 billion joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. (Aisin), and Denso Corporation (Denso) to develop fully-integrated, production-quality software and automated driving technology. We are headquartered in Tokyo, Japan and aim to build a smooth software pipeline from research-to-commercialization, and strengthen the collaboration within the Toyota Group in the domains of research and advanced development. Our mission of TRI-AD is to become a world-class software and technology company and to build the safest car in the world. Attracting top talent internationally, TRI-AD has embraced English as its official language in order to facilitate teamwork and partnerships globally.
TeamThe Guardian team's mission is to allow for a safer and stress-free driving experience by enhancing drivers' awareness to reduce the risks of car accidents to zero. To succeed in its mission, the team applies Artificial Intelligence and automated driving technologies to the manual driving mode, that both supervise and assist the driver.
Who are we looking for? The Guardian function is looking for a Scrum Master to join our mission, and help us in  making Guardian a happy, high performing team working at a sustainable pace. Your work will contribute to Guardian technology development. As a Scrum Master you will work mainly with our team and possibly with another team in our department at the same time.
RESPONSIBILITIESAt the team level, you will coach  one or two of our teams on how to improve their work process through Agile best practices, visualize & monitor their performance using meaningful metrics, maintain transparency of impediments the teams are facing, and support them in their resolution.  Scrum is our framework of choice for all product development, and we value producing a potentially releasable product increment in each Sprint. However, as a Scrum Master, you should be comfortable working also with other Agile frameworks and methodologies, including scaling frameworks. Be ready for challenges like collaborating with other automotive teams using traditional waterfall- and V-model-development and not yet transitioning to Scrum or Kanban!
