Role Description 

This Senior Product Manager will be on a tight-knit, highly collaborative team of Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Product Analysts intently focused on Dropbox’s world-class sharing and collaboration capabilities. Our broader mission is to connect people through content, with an emphasis on small to medium sized business teams who use Dropbox. This Product team is working together on the end-to-end experience up and down the stack (from the technical foundation to user flows), to ensure that Dropbox continues to deliver a high-value, easy, and intuitive sharing experience.    The Sharing area is broken down into three sub-teams: Sender, Receiver, and Sharing Foundations. This Senior Product Manager will lead the Receiver experience. This workstream includes a junior-level Product Manager whom you will help guide and mentor.

Responsibilities

  • You will define the vision for the future of collaboration, and help Dropbox be the place where SMB users can easily share and coordinate their work
  • You will be unafraid to wade into areas of technical complexity by working closely with Engineering teams to understand technical nuances, and juggle various product priorities within technical constraints
  • You will be comfortable using quantitative and qualitative user data to build well-crafted products for end-users; bonus points if you have experience building productivity or collaboration products, or have experience building products for SMB users
  • You will habitually think through edge cases, and anticipate secondary and tertiary effects of major decisions within a complex product ecosystem; bonus points if you have experience working on a core product within a large product organization, or have experience conducting exploratory research within in a complex product domain

Requirements 

  • 7+ years' of experience as a Product Manager, Software Engineer, Designer or start-up Founder, or a combination thereof
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business, Applied Math or Statistics, or similar
  • Ability to define a long-term product or business strategy, while executing on short-term product development goals
  • A deep understanding and empathy for end-users
  • Launched multiple successful products or product features, preferably across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Desktop, and Web)
  • Strong skills around cross-functional collaboration, influence, and communication; an ability to achieve clarity and drive focus in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
