You are responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of one or more features related to an existing set of products. You will be embedded within WWPS ISV Sales team , focused on supporting and enhancing the number of AWS services that our strategic ISV partner consume . Key partners that you will be working with initially will be ESRI, SAP/NS2 and Palantir .This role includes working closely with the partner and across AWS engineering teams. You know how to apply technology to solve problems and delight customers. You know what it takes to build a feature. Your technical understanding is sufficient enough to accurately represent a technology (benefits and risks) and the underlying software (it’s limitations and opportunities) for a proposed feature. Your work impacts a product’s customer experience (CX), feature usability, success metrics (e.g., customer delight, adoption, sales, ROI), engineering team goals, and may impact organization-level goals. You work independently, seeking direction when needed.

You follow Amazon product development best practices and work backwards[1]. You are the Voice of the Customer and articulate their needs. You participate in in-person customer research and user studies. You make use of market research and perform experiments. You identify interesting use cases and clarify how they differ from existing solutions. You are data-driven and understand the risk of action based on a vocal minority. You understand a broad range of analytics techniques and know when to use them. You provide stakeholders with insights into market opportunities. You make connections (to people and/or technologies) to make sure the right people are part of the conversation. You work with designers and developers to mock-up and prototype (when appropriate) features to ensure we deliver the right solution. Your plans include where features need to be compliant (e.g., legal, financial and other regulations, data privacy/security), localized (e.g., language, regional requirements), and accessible (e.g., consider people with disabilities). You make sure usability studies include diverse customer sets and perspectives. You drive constructive discussions that help customers, design, development, compliance, and sales teams reach consensus.

You balance your business expertise and product domain knowledge with technical understanding. You take the time to learn the systems (e.g., functionality, architecture constraints, key dependencies, and maintenance characteristics) and reasons behind your product’s technology design (Q. Why did we build X this way?). You are able to dive into technical details (e.g., probe assumptions that led to technology decisions as well as CX/operability choices, etc.). You recognize when a proposed feature design or technology choice is going to complicate or pose a risk to future deliverables. You ask the right technical questions to make sure the right trade-offs are made (Q. Will this design enable us to achieve our goals? How is this design extensible to future use cases?). You partner with technical managers on feature-related project priorities, milestones, and delivery dates. Where possible, you allow development teams to incorporate needed quality and operational excellence improvements for features into the product roadmap.

You own product feature communications. Your verbal and written style is clear and concise. You are able to transform raw thoughts and convey technical details (verbally, in writing, and via diagram) to engineering teams and/or technical customers (e.g., functional and non-functional technical requirements, feature CX design approach). You may be responsible for PR/FAQs or other strategic documentation. You ensure that the right information is delivered to the right audience at the right time. You identify “Go to Market (GTM)” stakeholders. You clearly articulate feature scope, timeline, owners, risks, and the steps being taken to mitigate those risks. You accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., “Path to green”), and by escalating appropriately. You may oversee the launch process, including test and deployment to Beta/Prod. You review the feature to make sure it meets acceptance criteria. You may manage post-launch support plans (e.g., triage, issue/ticket management, COEs), run retrospectives, and/or hold post-mortems. You are able to articulate customer pain points from a technical perspective. You determine if the right Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are in place and, if not, work to define them. You identify and research anomalies in performance and escalate findings or drive resolution. You help recruit, interview, mentor, and develop others


Requirements:
· Understands the core technologies utilized in their product domain and how to apply these technologies to invent, evolve, improve, simplify, etc.
· Can identify gaps/opportunities within or between features, regions, system architectures (e.g., services, workflows, tooling) to satisfy the needs of product customers.
· Fluent in technology alternatives; can weigh the pros and cons of a technology choice and propose relevant options.
· Brings strong, CX, data-driven business, and technical judgment to decisions.
· Able to make the case for a technology product and can influence teams to dedicate resources.
· Has strong Cloud experience
· Engineering degree on Computer Science or equivalent
· Strong project management experience
· Familiar with CRM , Big Data Analytics , Geo spatial technologies







Basic Qualifications


· Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
· 10+ years of technical Product or Program Management Experience
· Demonstrated experience in cloud technologies
