We are looking for a talented Associate UX designer to come and join our team of passionate product thinkers. They will work closely with our senior designers, product managers, engineers and researchers to help develop solutions to complex problems; delivering value to the millions of people that we serve every day.
You will work closely with our senior designers to:
Deliver high-fidelity mockups of solutions using design tools such as Sketch.Learn how to take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable.Be part of creating design flows and experiences that are simple and elegant, using research to make data-informed decisions. Create interactive prototypes using tools like Invision.Learn how to think at a high level about creative strategy and vision. Thinking not just ‘how it should look’ but ‘what we should build’.Understand our design system and help evolve it.
What you should have:- A desire to solve real-world problems and deliver value to our business and customer.- Good communication skills, with the ability to externalise ideas through white boarding or paper sketches.- The ability to create wireframes and prototypes in collaboration with other designers or independently.- An understanding that repetitive tasks improve your skills. - An understanding of how to validate ideas with end-users.- A willingness to learn and grow with a balanced sense of optimism and humility.
Basic qualifications:- 1+ years of digital product design, interaction design, user experience design or product design for mobile and/or web applications in a software development environment.- A portfolio that demonstrates user-centred design solutions with strong visual and interaction design skills.
Desirable:- We use Sketch, Invision and Abstract, it would be great if you have experience using these tools.- Experience or a passion to learn how to facilitate design thinking workshops.- A passion for presenting your work.- Experience or a desire to speak at events.
