As Head of Fintech Product Marketing, you will craft the messaging and positioning for Very Good Security’s platform. You will develop a deep understanding of our products, customers, competition and our industry. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits and value is crucial. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in our market - payments and/or data security and is passionate about digital technologies that improve the way people work and live.
What you get to do every day:Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and other team members to drive market awareness among VGS buyersDrive the adoption and usage of our products through clear product positioning; naming; launch mid-term strategies and translate into tactics; and communications, including iterating product messaging and positioning as new features are launchedCustomer and the industry insights we serve through market research and analysisUse customer and market insights to shape our product marketing strategy to increase our market presence and penetration, including a deep understanding of market segments and market sizingCapture and report on key product and product marketing KPIs and translate insights into priorities and actionsBecome an expert on the competitive landscape and clearly articulate VGS’ unique differentiators and opportunities to internal and external audiencesCreate messaging and positioning that differentiates our products and resonates with our target customers, using both qualitative and quantitative methodsCollaborate with Product Management throughout the entire product lifecycle – from definition and development, to roll out, competitive comparisons, growth, feature matrices, positioning and pricing, and sunsetRecommend campaigns and programs to maximize Very Good Security integration partners and serve as co-marketing partner liaison
What you bring to the role:BS / BA degree with a 12+ years experience (MINIMUM of 4+ years in Product Marketing within a SaaS or Software entity and 5+ years in Product Management).  Direct experience in  payments or fintech industry experience highly preferred.  Prior experience as a Management Consultant also a plus.Comfortable with ambiguity with a high aptitude to understand complex concepts while able to distill it into consumable thoughts to both technical and non-technical audiencesExceptional writing skills are required. You can share technical content and product collateral in advance; examples will be requestedWillingness to work in a hyper-growth startup environment where you roll up your sleeves and take ownership over activities inside and outside your role.Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional and virtual teams, and third partiesPassionate about our customer and understanding what drives and motivates themDecisive but flexible, and able to perform and adapt quickly in a dynamic, rapidly changing fast-paced environment
