This role would be ideal for candidates looking to manage a small team while gaining a deep understanding of cross-discipline strategies.You are located in, or willing to relocate to, Stockholm, Sweden, where this team resides. Spotify offers relocation packages to those not already based in Stockholm.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and lead a cross-functional team comprising of both technical and operational roles through hiring, supporting, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development
  • Drive development & strategy for theSpotify Developer Website, our primary method of interacting with our large, active ecosystem of external developers
  • Devise, develop and operate a set of operational tooling which allows Spotify to effectively assess and act on existing and emergent opportunities built on our SDKs and APIs.
  • Build relationships across a wide variety of domains & business units to understand both their distinct and shared strategic needs and concerns
  • Inform and influence senior leadership on emergent opportunities to ensure we balance the best user experience with strongest business impact
  • Drive the vision and long-term strategy in the team and contribute to the wider tribe vision and strategy
  • Make sure your team is doing the right things, while not spreading too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Spotify

Who you are

  • You are an interdisciplinary problem solver, skilled at blending different perspectives in pursuit of a mission
  • You have excellent networking skills, able to navigate a large, distributed organisation to find the right individuals, and build your own reputation so others seek you out whenever appropriate
  • You are excellent at sorting out ambiguity and ensure both engineers and stakeholders have appropriate information and clear direction at all times
  • You have clear experience developing others, even when you are not yourself the domain specialistYou are an excellent communicator and storyteller, engaging with your audience on a personal level
  • You are structured, and enable those around you to maintain focus on the right things at the right time
  • You are persistent, rational and put facts above speculation
  • It's a bonus if you have A passion for Spotify as a product and a user experience. Have Domain knowledge of the music industry and/or online entertainment. Have Experience working with operational teams, devising and streamlining internal processes
Additionally you will become a key member of SDK’s Product team, defining and implementing the broader strategy on an organisational level and having direct impact across our consumer & ubiquity product capabilities.
