Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, every Atlassian will have the choice to work from an office or from home.
Jira is Atlassian's most well-known product and is fundamental to our success. The Jira Shared Experiences team is on a mission to make every team’s work flow better. The team manages the majority of the Jira user experience and is re-imagining and transforming Jira to help it reach new markets while maintaining its position as the number one tool for agile software development teams. 
As a Product Manager on Jira Cloud, you will contribute to the building of product experiences our customers love. You and your cross-functional team will be responsible for improving the Jira configuration experience, product roadmap, and vision. You will work with development teams based in Sydney and Bengaluru to define, build, and champion the platform and its features. You’ll be collaborating with Jira Platform and Product teams in Sydney.


  • Develop an effective product strategy and roadmap that delivers a measurable benefit to the team's mission
  • Optimise the ease of use of the project configuration experience and customers' ability to configure it
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their likes and dislikes, and opportunities within this space
  • Build and maintain expertise in our competitor landscape
  • You’ll not only be building an excellent experience for our end customers but a phenomenal platform experience that meets the needs of other Atlassian teams to build upon

On your first day, we expect you to have:

  • Product management experience, ideally at a fast-growing software company
  • Experience working closely with design and development teams that deliver delightful customer experiences
  • Influential leadership skills such as communication, networking, and stakeholder management
  • Experience and passion for great user experience design and creativity in problem solving
  • Good instincts matched with deep analytical thinking. You're comfortable defining and proposing key success metrics. 
  • Ability to define the balance between solving the customer problem and the minimum product that allows a team to ship, learn and iterate


  • Experience in the fields of collaboration and enterprise software (SAAS)
  • BE/BS/BA with an emphasis in technology, IT, design, or operations
