The AWS Commerce Platform enables customers to purchase AWS products and services, generating billions of dollars in revenue. Our teams provide customers with a world class customer experience around managing, paying and reporting on invoices and payments. You will have the opportunity to influence hundreds of millions of customers globally, creating products used by thousands of companies worldwide, and contributing to the continued success and expansion of AWS.

The International Expansion team is part of the AWS Commerce Platform team. The team is responsible for the expansion of the AWS Commerce Platform across new regions and markets for the following core use cases: 1) to drive projects to build new regions 2) to think globally and act locally in delivering the best customer experience in any region, and 3) to make new region expansion repeatable, simple, and faster.

As a Sr. Product Manager of International Expansion, you will be working to understand regional requirements to improve the customer experience tailoring it for local needs. This is a highly visible role across the organization, you will interface with many teams across AWS including our Billing, Payments, Tax, Financial Operations, Accounting, Customer Service, and Sales. You will work in partnership with these organizations and senior leadership to analyze the business needs, create the product requirements and define the go-to-market strategy for your region. In doing this work you will also be the region evangelist helping the teams understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. Finally, as part of your responsibilities you will work with engineering teams across AWS to launch the features that you have defined in your roadmap.

Ideal Candidate should have:
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom.
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers, business owners, and senior business leaders.
· Ability to collaborate with and effectively influence remote teams in multiple time zones.
· A history of translating customer insight into product and service experiences that customers love to use and share.
· Ability to provide architectural guidance and direction, strong judgment especially relevant in balancing long-term strategic investments with near term business goals.
· Strong relationships building skills; experience managing stakeholders and partners to drive cross functional programs.

Basic Qualifications


· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
· 5+ years of product management or consulting experience in technology focused business.
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom.
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers, business owners, and senior business leaders.
· Ability to collaborate with and effectively influence remote teams in multiple time zones.
· A history of translating customer insight into product and service experiences that customers love to use and share.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree (MBA preferred) and 10+ years of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Knowledge of cloud computing and regional expansion.
· Prior experience managing technical products or online services.
· History of developing business strategy in conjunction with senior leadership.
· Knowledgeable in technology development best practices (such as Agile).
