As the Staff Product Manager for Telemetry & Vehicle Controls you will be responsible for productizing the data of our fully connected vehicles send and convert them into insightful, actionable signals for our fleet customers. Specifically, you will define and build seamless customer experiences using high frequency sensor-data our vehicles produce. You will also work on internal tools that enable our test and development teams to remotely control and analyze vehicle behavior. This is a high impact role with meaningful cross-functional visibility. A ground floor opportunity to revolutionize the fleet industry with an always connected vehicle that uploads thousands of signals every minute.
THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO:· Work cross functionally with the vehicle, cloud and application software teams to build a cohesive product experience for fleet customers· Be the subject matter expert for Rivian’s telemetry and vehicle controls offering and drive all product decisions for this domain· Analyze vehicle signals and convert them into actionable insights for our fleet customers, help them reduce costs and improve safety and productivity in their fleets· Manage large and emergent customers that have complex needs and high expectations· Develop digital product features that overdeliver for customers and enhance the Rivian Fleet Platform resulting in significant incremental SaaS revenue for the commercial business unit· Work closely with our engineering, design and business teams to write user stories, define product requirements, set product roadmaps and drive product execution· Deliver build, buy, partner recommendations and own strategy presentations to execs
THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:· 7+ years of experience in digital product management in SaaS, mobility or consumer technology verticals· Domain expertise in automotive, fleet telematics, fleet/vehicle safety, connected vehicles, IoT a plus· Experience in launching and managing digital products· User centric product development approach with demonstrated ability to quickly iterate on product features based on large data sets and customer insights· Comfort working with development teams through periods of rapid growth and scale· Track record of succeeding in matrixed organizations and collaborating with stakeholders from multiple domains to execute aggressive timelines· Ability to drive detailed specs while similarly being able to zoom out and prioritize· History of working through ambiguity and devising clean sheet solutions in markets that go from 0 to 1· Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Experience working closely with UX/UI design teams to realize beautiful, cutting edge products· Ability to interface with external partners and drive integrations across 3rd party providers and ecosystems
