We are always looking for amazing talent to join our fast-growing and industry best Data and Analytics team. Geotab is actively seeking a person who has a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification who, with training, will be able to quickly contribute to the team. What are the details of this position :
You will work on Geotab’s Data and Analytics team and be a crucial part of producing insight from Geotab’s big data environment, which streams and ingests 4 billion data records per day from over 1.6 million vehicles in 85 countries across the globe. This technical department is constantly producing deep analysis and insight into Geotab’s data infrastructure leveraging machine learning techniques. Your job is to support the Agile delivery of new and innovative data driven solutions to Geotab customers and partners, working with product owners, data scientists, and software developers.

Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with Agile/Scrum practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning.
  • Manage risks to delivery, remove impediments to delivery success.
  • Consulting with Product Owner, and key stakeholders to gather business requirements to ensure tasks are ready for design and development.
  • Communicate cross functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes; Report team progress and accomplishment up and across; Facilitates status updates, product demos and retrospectives.
  • Report on team performance metrics by recording, tracking and monitoring timelines and tracking the team's delivery.
  • Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet LOB stakeholders’ needs and expectations.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as Scrum Master working with Scrum, Kanban and ScrumBan is required.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is a definite plus.
  • Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and practices and software development lifecycle is essential.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills is required to be successful in this role.
  • Experience managing multiple agile squads at once, and juggling multiple projects across the organization is required.
  • Agile experience and leadership, working within and implementing the principles of agile methodology, enabling an agile work. environment, leading ceremonies, participating in scrum and writing user stories is key.
  • JIRA experience an asset.
