Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an exceptional Product Manager.

Defining and delivering our product vision through a collaborative lean and Agile approach across design, engineering, and product teams, you will be the product owner and will expertly define the product vision, manage the product roadmap & backlog, anticipate and advocate for customer’s needs, and evaluate the product’s progress at each iteration. We want a Product Manager who is excited by and comfortable working on complex products that delight our enterprise customers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Define product vision and roadmap with clarity on feasibility, time, cost, and impact.
  • Own end-to-end user experience for technical users / enterprise users.
  • Conduct competitive research with business analysts to inform our product design and product roadmap.
  • Create end-to-end product and service strategies that are a market differentiator.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and design features with the goal of securing product market fit and growth.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, with a deep understanding of user personas, pain points, and customer journeys.
  • Effectively prioritize and define product features so that cross functional teams can execute and iterate effectively.
  • Continuously rebalance product / service features which maximize value and minimize effort to focus on the highest-returning initiatives.
  • Work closely with Sales & Marketing to drive a comprehensive customer acquisition and retention strategy.
  • Proactively mitigate business, operational, and governance risks.
  • Communicate and present product roadmaps to various team members, stakeholders, and shareholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the executive team to ensure corporate objectives are met.
  • Hold teams accountable to make and meet commitments.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 10+ years of relevant experience building products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate the rationale behind your product decisions and influence key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional sense of functional interface design and technical knowledge, allowing you to work well with designers and engineers.
  • Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with Agile software development and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Once IBM determines employees can return to the office safely, this role requires on-site attendance at our San Jose location.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and prior start-up experience scaling products.
  • Familiarity with code-centric and data-centric applications and the expectations of technical users.
