Product Design Operations Manager at Checkout.com:

Reporting directly into the SVP Design ,you'll be critical to the creating and setting the design culture and standards. You will partner on 3 main areas:- How we work together- How we get work done- How work creates impact
Togetherness is how we’re organised and structured in the team; how we collaborate and how we grow.
Getting work done is about standardising processes, and aligning design systems and research and rigorous prioritisation with ProductOps and DevOps.
Creating impact means work must be measurable, socialised and replicated consistently.

About You

  • 7+ years of experience with ‘in-house’ design teams 
  • Capacity to oversee and efficiently manage design planning across the business
  • Experience establishing internal frameworks and managing company-wide adoption of set standards to improve cross-functional focus and prioritization
  • You have strong project management skills 
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment: you take ownership for every action, strive for better, and build trust
  • You have a systematic approach and can anticipate the ripple effects of small and large changes will have on the experience.
  • You are interested in developing your skills and wearing many hats in a team

What you will be doing

  • Create the right processes and structure for the product design team to flourish
  • Collaborate across all disciplines in the business ensuring meetings and workshops are well structured and efficient
  • Help hire, allocate and onboard new team members
  • Balance workflow, estimation and budgets
  • Set measurable outcomes through design standards and metrics
  • Socialise successes and create replicable playbooks and education to help Checkout.com scale rapidly
