We are looking for a Product Designer (UX) at GoPro to help create the next generation of the shopping experience. As a Product Designer, you are an expert in human centered design, and you will create an intuitive, efficient, and delightful experience that inspire every person to be a part of the GoPro world. 

User experience is at the forefront of how we reimagine our products and services. We strive to learn and understand our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. We work on collaborative teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products’ unique capabilities and personalities. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.


What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate closely with Designers, Researches, Product Managers, and Developers to to define product strategy and turn user needs and business requirements into functional designs.
  • Ability to clearly define the problem, articulate use cases. 
  • Create and deliver new concepts, user journeys, experience maps, wireframes, prototypes and design specifications for ecommerce experiences. 
  • Design flows that are intuitive, elegant and provide value for our teams while accounting for a wide variety of scenarios.
  • Participate in sprint planning and roadmap discussions and collaborate with product management team on feature requirements and specifications.
  • Advocate for users in a fast-paced, forward-thinking, imparting day-to-day design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between design, content, business and engineering.
  • Ability to effectively document and hand-off design files to Developers.
  • Facilitate Design-Thinking work-sessions in cross-functional teams.
  • Define KPI’s and measurement strategy to continually improve the user experience.


Skills We’re Stoked About

  • 4-5 years of direct UX experience, with a focus on direct-to-consumer ecommerce.
  • A portfolio featuring digital design work.
  • Experience shipping digital products (web, apps or software). 
  • Familiarity with eCommerce terminology and tools.
  • Able to articulate and defend design decisions with grace, logic and data.
  • Able to translate technical requirements into simple, engaging designs.
  • Excellent verbal communicator with strong writing skills.
  • The ability to be a team player as well as to clearly articulate, educate, engage, inspire, influence, and make people smile.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, a fast-paced environment and take initiative
  • Expert with modern design tools and workflows (Figma).
  • Experience design-thinking tools (Mural) preferred.
  • Experience with design research tools (Google Analytics, ClickTale, etc.) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with users, engineers, product partners, and stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience working with Brand Guidelines and Design System.
  • Experience in UX facilitation and leading Design Thinking workshops
