The team that built the innovative Silicon IP AZ1 Neural Edge that is powering the latest generation of Echo devices is looking for a Product Manager to continue to innovate on behalf of our customers. We are a part of Amazon Lab126 that revolutionized reading with our Kindle family of products and reimagined user experience through Echo and Alexa. The Role:
As a Principal Product Manager-Technical (PMT), you will own defining, executing, and delivering a technology roadmap that expands our ML driven Silicon IP portfolio and delivers new experiences to our customers. You will help drive technology innovation in the form of, features, and platforms that deeply integrate hardware, software, and services to build products that help our customers. You will help create and drive the long-term strategy, vision, and roadmap, with a high degree of ownership over critical features for the next generation of ML accelerators that improves customer experience.

This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, science, operations, finance and executive teams to set technology strategy, define and prioritize features that can be implemented in silicon, which in turn help deliver new customer experiences for Amazon devices. A successful candidate must be able to assess and build consensus around the most critical problems to be solved through a given suite of features in silicon, establish a feedback loop with the hardware architecture team, and software OS team, build multi-year roadmaps that is consistent with our long-term device strategy, and secure executive support for the features and technology roadmap. You’ll bridge technical and business worlds engaging with matrixed teams including engineering, operations, legal, and you must drive internal stakeholder and partner engagements necessary for the on-time launch of the product.

Key Responsibilities:
· Work with architecture and various technology teams to align Silicon IP development with product roadmap
· Synthesize disparate requirements and feature sets into a coherent executable roadmap
· Define creative, high quality, and clear silicon roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
· Lead the definition of silicon development strategy
· Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load
· Define crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
· Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and across key partners
· Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

Basic Qualifications

· 8+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
· Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
· Bachelor's Degree
· Experience with end to end product delivery
· Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
· Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
· Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline
· 7+ years of professional experience with 3+ years of managing end-to-end integration of a technology into a customer facing device or silicon.
· Product management experience in mass market consumer electronics
· Experience managing digital products including both hardware and software components through multiple product lifecycles
· Experience working on Android, iOS, Windows or other mobile software/applications
· Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on deadlines
· Experience coordinating hardware development cycles and software development schedules
· Experience with mobile technology, SoC platforms, compute engines like GPU and CPU, and machine learning

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA or Master’s degree
· Passion for digital media and the mobile space
· Experience as either hardware or software developers in one of the following areas: machine learning, CPU or MCUs, sensors for consumer devices, GPU, audio DSPs.
· Demonstrated history of shipping silicon in consumer electronics products that involve hardware and software.
· Experience in one or more following technology development areas: display, sensors, audio, video, computer vision, wireless, materials, batteries.
· Experience in understanding and analyzing impact of silicon process technology
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
· Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
· High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
· Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
· Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
