The Content Platform organization is a central enabler for the Spotify business, delivering a complete, available and enriched catalogue of music, podcasts, videos and more. We discover and organize structured information about the world of audio by collecting, consuming and curating data.
We are looking for a Product Director to lead the Product function for the Spotify Content Platform, which is an organization of 150 awesome people, responsible for getting content from our podcast, music and video suppliers to our millions of end-user customers.
Content Platform is developing and innovating on Spotify’s core catalogue. We seek product leaders who are strategic and also like rolling up their sleeves. You will be responsible for strategic decisions that will enable us to reach our goal of having 1 million Creators earning a living and delighting over 1 billion end-users.

What you'll do

  • Drive the product vision and strategy with innovative engineers, product managers, designers, consumer insights and analytics teams to deliver outstanding products to our users
  • Define, communicate and debate strategy with senior executives across Spotify
  • Work with your data science and marketing/user research counterparts to find opportunities and validate hypotheses
  • Lead and grow an outstanding product team, together with your group product managers
  • Make Content Platform a great platform partner to other Spotify business units that are all building their businesses based on access to hundreds of millions of consumers
  • Work from our London, New York or Stockholm offices

Who you are

  • You're a seasoned leader with experience managing leaders and multiple teams. You can grow, inspire and encourage a team that can represent strategy and execution with senior internal partners
  • You understand how to build awesome, customer experiences at scale
  • You’re experienced with cross-functional leadership and are a consummate collaborator across multiple domains
  • You can, when required, represent any other product development field (technology, research, design or data science) on behalf of Content Platform
  • You drive Product Vision and Strategy at scale for the organization and are recognized across Spotify for being accountable for this.
  • You can clearly define success metrics the organizational level, and articulate how teams and projects are contributing to them
  • You have a deep understanding and articulation of industry movements, threats and opportunities
  • You possess a strong business sense and use those instincts to help inform strategic business decisions
  • You are able to motivate senior leadership and partners around insights and strategies developed. You effectively resolve issues and elevate priorities at the company level
  • You have a strong bias for execution and ensure that all teams are consistently shipping product and delivering customer value
  • You've got a strong intuition based on a broad range of experiences, but you take a critical approach to your own ideas and are ready to be challenged by colleagues of all levels
  • You are motivated by a burning desire for excellence but take a pragmatic approach to achieve your goals
