Your Role and Responsibilities
Cloud Native Developers are part of a crossfunctional
team that delivers a unique client cocreation
experience to accelerate client
transformation. You are expected to:
Uses contemporary technologies and approaches to
design, develop, test, and deliver Cloud-based
Applies a user-centric approach to ensure all
included features add value for the user and achieve
desired client impact
Understands the nuances of different cloud solutions
(hybrid, public, private, multi-cloud, on prem) and
implications for solution design
Understands the relationship among various technologies and architectures and how they
contribute to an overall solution
Deep understanding of complex large scale multi
region solutions that are utilizing multiple
independent life cycle microservices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Solution Co-creation:
Highly skilled in both visual and UX design; excellent written communication and storytelling skills
Applies IBM Design Thinking methods, translating requirements into hypotheses, research and facilitation to uncover emotional connections with products
Works in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand stakeholder requirements
Applies relevant industry experience to shape solutions

Impactful Relationships:
Demonstrates exceptional client relationship, collaboration and facilitation skills
Maintains trusting relationships with cross disciplinary IBM and client teams
Works closely with senior leaders, explaining design decisions to build consensus
Will be part of the IBM community of Designers, collaborating on site and virtually
Provides thought leadership among their network of Designers and client stakeholders

Ensures that designs address user pain points and serve the users with an elite experience

Technical Expertise:
Achieves Design Thinking Master skills (50% of role is software focused and 50% is facilitating)
Stays up to date on the latest design tools and methods
Demonstrates a growth mindset and continuous learning; stays current on IBM strategy and offerings
Strategic Innovation:
Turns ideas into reality with a focus on innovation and development of new technology
Facilitates quality and security driven design; develops and unit tests code fixes, leads process to debug customer-reported problems
Proactively identifies and files patentable technology
