The Product Marketing Manager MBA intern will be a part of the overall Marketing & Communications team, which is responsible for connecting the world to lifelong transformative learning. This team also works to shape public conversations on the future of education and work. The team is segmented into four areas of focus: Consumer Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Creative, and Communications. The team is currently focused on bringing new learners to the site, connecting students to degree programs, attracting new enterprise customers — including  businesses, governments, and campuses —  and creating a marketing system that nurtures learners throughout their professional lives. 
The Product Marketing Manager MBA intern will report into the Consumer Marketing team, and align specifically to projects and product features impacting Coursera’s Educator Partner audience  - university or industry partners who offer content on our platform, whether that is free public courses, or for-credit certificates and degree programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Go-to-Market plans for 1-2 product features by identifying the target audiences, articulating the problem that each feature is solving and crafting the value prop and messaging 
  • Tying the product features into an overarching high-level story about the key enhancements to Coursera’s platform that lands upon Educators as a message of best-in class and innovation for online teaching, and conveying the value and benefits to the Partner staff.  This overall story would be used internally and externally by leadership and likely channels include Coursera Blog For Educators, and PR.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited MBA program and returning to the program after the internship
  • 3+ years work experience 
  • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint
  • Background in crafting written communication for multiple audiences both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in understanding customer behavior, segmentation, Go-to-Market strategy
  • Previous projects or exposure to product marketing (PMM)
  • Ability to work autonomously with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Data Science, Creative/Brand Marketing, Sales and PR
  • Passion for education and Coursera’s mission
