But we're in a highly competitive market, and as the compete lead for Box, you'll be responsible for defining and leading our compete strategy, from ongoing competitive intelligence to positioning, sales enablement, asset development, and more.   WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Become a subject matter expert in our products, from technical architecture to market positioning
  • Develop & implement a holistic strategy for competitive research, intelligence, positioning and enablement
  • Define Box's positioning with & against key competitors (many of which are also partners)
  • Develop key compete assets (battlecards, call scripts, discovery questions, slides) to enable sales & customer success teams to position Box effectively in competitive deal environments
  • Implement processes to drive awareness & understanding of competitive differentiation points among all Boxers (sales, marketing, product)
  • Work closely with sales, customer success, and product teams to gather & refine competitive insights on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure competitive/coexistence messaging is incorporated into all of our marketing materials, from the corporate pitch to our campaigns, product launches, and more
  • Regularly update executive staff and other groups on the competitive landscape and market news analysis
  • Most importantly, you will be a SME, evangelist, and cross-functional leader who unites marketing, sales, customer success, and product teams to drive business results
  • Experienced in B2B SaaS marketing and business models, with a data-driven approach to driving business results
  • Knowledgeable (nerdy, even!) about the cloud content space, with an appreciation for the nuances of competition and coexistence
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Strong business intuition: understanding of what keeps executives up at night and empathy for the problems our customers are trying to solve
  • Competence and enthusiasm for messaging, positioning, and content development
  • Passion for a test and learn approach to decision-making, including being comfortable iterating
