How You Will Make An ImpactthredUP is hiring a Director of Growth Marketing to lead our digital advertising programs and support our ambitious growth goals. This is a high-impact role, working cross-functionally to  drive new customer acquisition and shape the strategy of the growth function at thredUP. With dedicated resources from creative, marketing, product, analytics, pricing and engineering, you will approach growth holistically, orchestrating the customer experience from ad impression to check out to repurchase. This position reports to the Senior Director of Growth. 
About YouYou should be strategic and have a history of success in digital growth marketing. You are highly knowledgeable in growth tactics (creative, targeting, optimization, testing in key social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and ideally, TikTok). You have managed significant marketing budgets to hit rigorous performance marketing KPIs such as CAC/LTV and payback. You thrive in a data-driven culture and leverage data in your decision making. You think big and enjoy a high-growth, fast paced environment where being resourceful, learning fast, and taking calculated risks are core to the culture. You are accustomed to working alongside senior leadership and enjoy being an active participant in the strategic growth conversation.

In This Role You’ll Get To:

  • Be responsible for defining our growth marketing strategy. You will develop, recommend, and execute marketing programs across a variety of paid and organic channels
  • Have ownership of a multi-million dollar growth budget and optimize campaigns accordingly to achieve our customer acquisition and performance goals
  • Maximize growth through data-driven decisions with dedicated resources from product, engineering, analytics, and pricing
  • Work with the creative team to make sure all performance marketing assets are built effectively as well as gather learnings to improve them
  • Proactively monitor and understand performance; lead cross functional teams to take action

What We’re Looking For:

  • BA/BS required
  • 7+ years digital marketing experience across paid social and additional channels 
  • Experience in digital marketplaces a big plus
  • Expert in Facebook bidding, targeting and optimization, with hands-on experience running campaigns and mentoring teams to do the same
  • Substantial experience working with performance marketing metrics across platforms (web, mobile, smart TV)
  • Proven ability to process/understand large data sets with mastery of Excel and analytical tools such as Looker (or equivalent); experience with SQL/Python a plus
  • Excel in strategic prioritization and decision making; effectively balance long term business goals with short term needs
  • Experience with multi-touch attribution and media mix models
  • Possess an entrepreneurial and founder mindset, ready to take on tasks outside of role with strong agility to change and to be flexible/resilient
