Who you are

You love the creative process. You’re a photos-obsessed, systems-thinking Senior UX Designer who craves to craft engaging, elegantly usable experiences and interactions. You’re hungry to apply your superior user experience and information architecture skills, visual design flair, problem-solving abilities, and soft skill expertise. You balance your passion for inspired, compelling, elegant, simple designs with a highly analytical nature, precise execution, and a relentless drive to design, build and deliver end-to-end experiences.

Key responsibilities
· Use business requirements, usability findings and market research to develop scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
· Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings
· Design conceptual wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications, and functional prototypes
· Develop and nurture relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration and efficiency on Amazon projects

How to introduce yourself

In the above job description, we have tried to be as explicit as possible about what we are looking for in this role. Therefore, an introductory email to us could read similar to the following:

“I have worked in Design for 8[+] years, delivering customer-facing products which people love to use. For example, in my role as Senior Designer of 'Product X,' I owned Design from inception to research, development/execution and post-launch iteration, ultimately achieving notable 'Success Y.' In addition, I have worked directly with senior design leaders and management on project Z, which brought significant additional ‘value Q’ to the enterprise and our customers. My success as a Designer comes from the synthesis of my deep product knowledge and ability to create primary research (Dive Deep + Invent & Simplify) and have delivered successful products throughout my career (Deliver Results). I am excited by the Amazon Photos business and the prospect of working in an entrepreneurial environment to help a new business invent on behalf of customers and scale.”
