Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.
Come join the team that's innovating the way developers collaborate and deliver code all over the world: Atlassian is searching for a Product Designer to join the Bitbucket Data Center team. Bitbucket is the Git solution for professional teams, used by over 60% of Fortune 100 companies. Data Center is Atlassian’s on-premise offer, used by our largest and most complex customers. Think NASA launching the Rover on Mars or Cochlear gifting children born deaf with the ability to hear.
If you live and breathe the user experience, love solving problems and thrive on variety, this is a great opportunity for you. As a Product Designer for Bitbucket, you'll work on a small, cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers and Product Managers to innovate the way development teams share and review code to build amazing software for their customers.
You will be involved in early stage research and ideation, implementation, and iteration. Ultimately you'll be responsible for creating a powerful and intuitive user experience for developers all around the world.

More about you:

  • Professional UX / product design experience, designing complex, enterprise-level software.
  • You have the ability to apply your design skills across product, interaction, and visual design to help create and build new features for software.
  • You've developed a deep understanding and high degree of empathy for the customer experience.
  • You have solid experience conducting customer research, as well as utilizing critical skills like design thinking, prototyping, and conceptual modeling.
  • You are comfortable defining projects and measures of success, testing your assumptions and outcomes, and continuously incorporating feedback.
  • You enjoy collaborating closely with developers, designers, and other team members.
  • Ideally, you've got some technical chops: you know what "git" means and understand your way around code, even if just at a basic level.
More about our benefits
Whether you work in an office or a distributed team, Atlassian is highly collaborative and yes, fun! To support you at work (and play) we offer some fantastic perks: ample time off to relax and recharge, flexible working options, five paid volunteer days a year for your favourite cause, an annual allowance to support your learning & growth, unique ShipIt days, a company paid trip after five years and lots more.
