Who are you:
The Product Manager will direct product development from conception to launch and is responsible for discovering, developing and carefully cultivating new business models.
What you'll do:
This position will ultimately build Geotab’s customer intelligence by identifying which ideas should be promoted into features to push the product strategy forward. For success in this role, reliable problem solving skills, creativity and acute perception are invaluable skills.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Own the product roadmap and prioritize building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience; identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
  • Represent Geotab at customer visits to solicit feedback on company products and services.
  • Set and drive growth metrics, working with the support of a cross-functional team. 
  • Support Success and Sales teams in capturing insights from existing customers.
  • Ensure that feedback loops and requests are seamlessly integrated into product planning and development processes (e.g. unblock trending sales objections, adapt to a new market segment, disrupt with a new lower priced offering, pivot the solution to a better fit).
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and internal teams to shape requirements, features and end products in delivering high-level solutions.
  • Collaboratively define and drive reporting and monitoring mechanisms against set growth goals and metrics.
  • Balance short-term investments to support sales targets with long-term strategic investments.
  • Design and execute market feedback loops:
  • -Sales: win-loss interviews and analysis; identify hard sales blockers and soft sales objections.
  • -Retention and Referral: feedback/satisfaction/effectiveness interviews and analysis.
  • Recommend investment decisions across all business model aspects, not only the product, based on analyzed results from quantitative and qualitative feedback.
  • Coordinate feature epic prioritization with technical debt and quality-stability investments.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 3-5 years experience in product management and/or customer discovery. 
  • Experience in a SaaS environment is highly valued.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
  • Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
  • Experience leveraging customer success tools (i.e., Salesforce) required.
  • Experience with reporting or business analysis.
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • Ability to stitch together disparate insights to uncover common patterns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
  • Strategic mindset, with a keen sense of priorities, along with an ability to pivot as the landscape changes.
  • Strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
