In this role you’ll help shape Springboard’s Analytics to be the most data-driven and organized it can be. In your day-to-day work, you’ll support various product teams with analytics work that will help us make better decisions, be more efficient, and solve the right problems. Over time, you’ll help design systems and processes that enable us to incorporate data-driven thinking into every strategic, business, and product decision that we make. As the Senior Product Analyst, you’ll have a critical, cross-functional role, working with stakeholders of all levels across the company to deliver insights that drive maximum impact. You’ll support in deriving new metrics, producing insights through analysis, running metrics and KPI/OKR reporting sessions with senior leadership, and maturing our data pipeline to enable predictive analytics and quicker analyses. Working at an education technology company, you will get to delve into complex and interesting analytics around learning efficacy and hireability in conjunction to traditional metrics like engagement, retention, LTV, etc.


  • Design and conduct analyses and experiments to meet business needs, including but not limited to: A/B tests/hypothesis testing, building charts and dashboards, reports, and forecasting models
  • Work with the engineering team to create data models and reliable data pipelines, and establish rigorous testing and documentation
  • Support our functional teams, including Product, Operations, and Course Development to identify key metrics, implement ways to track them, and drive decisions through analyses
  • Help other teams generate useful hypotheses, run well-designed experiments to test them, and translate the results from those experiments into actions and decisions
  • Introduce industry best practices into our company and be a constant advocate for data-driven decision-making
  • Communicate results and clear, actionable recommendations to key stakeholders


  • Have an engineering and/or analytical mindset, with 3 or more years of solid, relevant, industry experience
  • Have worked with and are comfortable with product analytics platforms (e.g. Mixpanel, Heap, Google Analytics, or similar)
  • Have worked with and are comfortable with popular data visualization/BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Mode, ChartIO, or similar)
  • Have exposure to and an understanding of customer data platforms that route data (e.g. Segment or similar)
  • Have the ability to break down any analytical problem into its components, have a nose for the most important parts of any analysis, and strong business knowledge
  • Are a master of relational databases and SQL, and can write complex queries including subqueries and CTEs, self-joins, and partitioning
  • Understand that good communication is as valuable as technical skills — and are a skilled storyteller who can convey the meaning you find in the data to influence people to make the right decisions
  • Use whatever tool is at your disposal/in your wheelhouse to get the job done — whether that’s cranking out data processing or modeling in Excel/Google Sheets, Jupyter Notebooks/Colab, or with SQL
  • Live and breathe hypotheses and experimental design; you are a data detective who constantly asks questions, and knows how to answer them using statistically sound methods
  • Are a constant learner: you’re on top of the latest thinking and tools in the analytics world through self-study, networking and deliberate practice

  • Have data science and/or machine learning experience/skills
  • Can roll up your sleeves and write a bit of code in R or Python when you need to
  • Led a team of analysts to influence the direction of a data organization
