The Amazon Publishing teams based in Seattle, New York, Luxembourg, London, and Munich publish emerging, bestselling, and critically-acclaimed authors in digital, print, and audio formats. You and your team will own products and innovations that bring books to life while delighting our authors and readers.

The ideal candidate has experience weighing and communicating tradeoffs across a portfolio of products. You know how to ask probing questions, listen to your customers, and help teams get to the right solution quickly. You work backwards from customers, you are connected to the details, and you help your team break down strategies into executable phases and distinct features. You are transparent with your prioritization framework, you welcome and incorporate feedback, and you measure and effectively communicate the results of your product investments to leaders.


· Lead a team that owns roadmaps for a portfolio of publishing products, in collaboration with business, tech, and cross-functional stakeholders
· Own the long-term vision and strategy for your products and programs as they mature, maintain a deep competitive awareness, and think big to identify opportunities worthy of investment
· Champion the author, reader, and internal stakeholder experience through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs
· Define, measure, and monitor key objectives and results for the portfolio of products your team leads
· Find opportunities to invent and simplify processes and tools to drive more efficient and agile book publishing workflows
· Convey complex ideas simply to align stakeholders across products
· Knows when to ask for help and recognizes when others need help
· Engenders trust and respect in all working relationships.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
· 8+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, technology, or related fields
· Experience leading roadmaps for a portfolio of products
· Demonstrated experience developing high performing teams

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA or equivalent degree
· Experience with end to end product delivery, from concept to launch
· Domain expertise in publishing technology, digital asset management, metadata management (ONIX), book production, digital asset creation workflows, content marketing, and the publishing landscape
· Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Quicksight)
· A passion for reading
