We are looking for an Associate Product Designer to join the team responsible for growing the future of Spotify by testing and scaling paid audio experiences which are richer, deeper, and more personal, while delivering new value for people. To reach our goals, we drive innovation in an explorative and fast paced manner to build an additional line of Spotify offerings that provide incredible value to specific customer groups with targeted interests and needs.
In this exciting role, you'll partner with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers & Data Scientists, and Engineers to explore, define, and validate new paid product experiences. You should be comfortable exploring new spaces where, even if you don’t have all the answers, you are comfortable making educated guesses or assumptions with a clear understanding of how you’ll measure success with customers. Specifically as a designer, you should be comfortable with bringing ideas to life from sketches to high-fidelity mockups to interactive prototypes.

What You'll Do

  • Ideate, craft and iterate on experiences for new paid products across the Spotify ecosystem
  • Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change paths and try another approach.
  • Work with your peers in product, engineering and product insights to turn user insights and business needs into products that drive balanced business value through a process of rapid exploration, product definition, and product validation

Who You Are

  • 1-2 years experience delivering great design as a Product Designer, Information Architect, Interaction Designer or similar. Mobile design experience is a requirement.
  • You care about communication and can employ storytelling to paint a picture, build understanding and brainstorm initial design concepts.
  • A conceptual and human-centered problem solver. You seek to understand people’s needs, motivations and behaviours – in order to translate them into impactful results.
  • You love thinking big, and at the same time, you know when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail.
  • You care about the impact of your work. You have a point of view on how to evaluate the success of your designs.
  • You have an appetite for learning and evolving in all things. From design craft to process to industry and market trends — you never stop pushing into the next big challenge and fit right in to our growth-focused culture.
