Amazon's Device and Services Design Group (DDG) is a central design studio responsible for developing products and platforms, from the Echo to Alexa Communications, Fire TV and Tablet.

We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to drive the vision, definition and design of Fire TV experiences across devices. This UX designer will have a significant impact on our business as they contribute to the design direction for the future of Fire TV.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of world-class multi-disciplinary designers, researchers, engineers, product managers and executives in a highly visible role. You will invent and deliver throughout the strategy, design, and development lifecycle to build customer-focused solutions at scale. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. You must be able to lead projects forward in the face of ambiguity.

Responsibilities:
· Design beautiful, useful, and desirable user interfaces and experiences in a team environment
· Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings
· Use business requirements, user and market research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
· Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences
· Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes
· Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
· Work with project managers to plan projects for effective delivery while maintaining high standards for design
· Be a passionate and effective advocate for design with non-design audiences
· Write effectively to communicate design rationales and benefits to Amazon customers




Basic Qualifications


· 6+ years of design experience
· An available online portfolio
· Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, HCI or equivalent design-related field

Preferred Qualifications

· Fluency and experience in the design thinking process
· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
· Experience with research and human-centered design with a portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience solving complex challenges with simple user-centered design solutions
· Experience with consumer brand experience design and a understanding of storytelling
· Ability to extract complex concepts and quickly turn around rigorous flows and mockups reflecting a range of options
· Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
· Additional design skills in related fields, including filmmaking, motion design, and prototyping
· Experience in designing interactions for voice-led devices
· Experience in designing cross platform experiences
· Ability to drive and close on design requirements independently
· Experience working in design consulting where presentation to clients and executives are core proficiencies
· Proficiency in presenting design work to user experience teams, product and engineering teams, and executives for review and feedback
