Who you are:
Our Software Development team is looking for a Product Manager who is passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. You will uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements and prototypes. What you'll do:
The Product Manager will direct product development from conception to launch and is responsible for discovering, developing and carefully cultivating new products and on-going product enhancements that support Geotab’s business models and continued growth. This position will ultimately build Geotab’s customer intelligence by identifying which ideas and opportunities should be promoted into features to support pushing the product strategy forward. For success in this role, reliable problem solving skills, creativity, communication and acute perception are invaluable skills. 
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong breadth of business and technical knowledge, and holds the ability to quickly understand complex concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong communication and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage products through introduction. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience and pain points; identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth based on customer learnings.
  • Prioritize building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.
  • Represent Geotab through customer interactions and visits to solicit feedback on company products and services.
  • Set and drive growth metrics, working with the support of a cross-functional team.
  • Support Success and Sales teams in capturing insights from existing customers.
  • Ensure that feedback loops and requests are seamlessly integrated into product planning and development processes (e.g. unblock trending sales objections, adapt to a new market segment, disrupt with a new lower priced offering, pivot the solution to a better fit).
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and internal teams to shape requirements, features and end products in delivering high-level solutions.
  • Collaboratively define and drive reporting and monitoring mechanisms against set product outcomes and use as a tool to measure continued success of product efforts.
  • Balance short-term investments to support sales targets with long-term strategic investments.
  • Collaborate with other product managers on designing and executing market feedback loops.
  • Recommend decisions across all business model aspects, not only the product, based on analyzed results from quantitative and qualitative feedback.
  • Collaborate with UX designers and system architects to build best in class solutions based on your findings from customer discovery efforts.
  • Coordinate new product/feature prioritization with technical debt and quality-stability investments.

What you’ll bring to this role:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or a related field highly valued.
  • 5+ years experience in product management and/or customer discovery.
  • Experience in a SaaS environment is highly valued.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to to key stakeholders including senior leadership teams.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development is nice to have.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • Experience leveraging customer success tools (i.e., Salesforce) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
