How you’ll make an impact
In this role, you will champion Xero’s UK and NZ Payroll products and be accountable for positioning and marketing the proposition to new and existing small business customers and their advisors. This is a key position, you will need to quickly become the go-to expert on the needs of the customer and the value of our product to tie everything together through clear and concise propositions. You will learn, monitor and deeply understand how your customers, competitors and influencers are changing and responding to your propositions across multiple regions. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the business including product management, product design and go-to-market teams to help achieve customer and commercial targets.

What you'll do

  • Helping drive commercial (Revenue, MRR and products attached to subscriptions) and customer (NPS and product utilisation)
  • Excellent collaboration and relationships with your Product GM, Product manager and product pod to identify and build value propositions and product strategy. And, work as a part of a matrix team supporting GTM strategy and execution 
  • Lead and develop the Value proposition for the Payroll UK and NZ products and deliver playbooks to support global roll-out and growth. Developed in partnership with research agencies and creative teams.
  • Being the ultimate contact point for all proposition-related queries from the regional sales and marketing teams, acting as the proposition champion. This includes enabling go-to-market teams with the right collateral to communicate with customers effectively
  • Annual marketing plans and quarterly reviews to achieve acquisition and utilisation targets

What You'll Bring with You

  • Highly commercial, data driven marketer with demonstrated experience building value propositions and contributing to GTM strategies based on customer and data insights
  • Demonstrated experience developing and launching new product propositions. Experience working with dev teams an advantage
  • Passionate collaborator and thrive on the challenge of regularly connecting teams across across remote working environments 
  • The ability to handle the pace and ambiguity that comes with working in a fast-paced tech environment
  • Exceptional storyteller able to craft product stories for different customer segments
  • 7+ years in a product marketing or marketing role (digital business and/or payroll experience advantageous)
