The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced, creative, and data-driven Director, Growth Marketing to join the ApplyBoard Marketing Team. In this role, you’ll drive ApplyBoard’s global and regional growth strategies, oversee execution to drive revenue, and own the associated metrics. Leading a team of growth/demand marketers, you will own building brand awareness within our target markets, attracting new partners, driving qualified student applications in the sales pipeline through our partners, and increasing conversion rates through creative marketing tactics.

What you will be doing every day:

  • Define, plan and deliver innovative, results-driven marketing programs and campaigns that align with company objectives to support our growth in geographies around the world
  • Map and lead all marketing activities along the customer journey - from initial touch through acquisition and onboarding to support and account management, increasing customer engagement, retention and lifetime value
  • Develop and own the overall growth marketing strategy, outlining key marketing themes, messages and offers and mediums for promotions throughout the year
  • Deliver highly targeted and relevant messaging to improve engagement and conversion by developing a thorough understanding of your segment and personas
  • Manage, report on and define KPIs that are meaningful and measurable, owning quarterly growth goals and ensuring exceptional ROI
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with sales, partner relations, customer experience, sales enablement, communications, digital and other marketing teams, keep stakeholders informed about activities, and actively report on results
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams and team members to help guide the portfolio of marketing programs, including website, content marketing, database marketing, email nurturing, paid advertising, content syndication, SEO, social media, blogs, events and webinars, and defining new channels to market
  • Optimize tactics and channel performance by ensuring key insights and channel best practices are provided, measured, and utilized
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of growth/demand marketing managers/specialists

What you bring to the table:

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience with 5+ years of senior management experience gained in a fast-paced environment, tech industry experienced preferred
  • A diploma/degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience planning, implementing, and executing creative multi-channel prospect and customer-focused marketing programs and campaigns that yield results
  • Power-user of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or another equivalent marketing automation platform
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds
  • A highly analytical approach to reporting and analyzing performance metrics with a focus on continuous improvement, optimization, and testing new ways of executing to deliver meaningful results
  • Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills resulting in the ability to hit aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure while producing high-quality work, and enabling team members to deliver their best work
  • Ability to be directly involved in day-to-day activities, jumping into projects when needed to support execution
