The Management function within the AWS World Wide Revenue Operations (WWRO) team is growing rapidly and is looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager - Technical. In this role you will be a critical part of the PM organization that owns the business model, P&L, consolidated roadmap across a variety of initiatives, feature development and prioritization of the product roadmap. You will work across engineering, business development, and marketing leads to set strategy, define the product, and make the difficult, high-judgment trade-offs between features and time-to-market. You will partner with the technical leaders of the organization to ensure the programming model, scalability and reliability promises, and developer experience delight our customers. As one of the team leaders, you will play a key role in hiring additional team members to the team, and help set the vision, values, and culture of this business. Further responsibilities include:
· Author documents relating to product life cycle including product roadmap, business requirements and functional specifications.
· Drive product development across teams (primarily Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Business Development, and Marketing) through business requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.
· Work collaboratively with Engineering as an advocate for the needs of our customers
· Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms and identify partnership and collaboration opportunities

The candidate must possess the ability to understand business requirements and processes. Ingenuity and the ability to think outside the box will be a must in this highly ambiguous environment. They will be passionate about their work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have superb communication skills, and will be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy to understand manner.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Learning Science, Educational Technology, Computer Engineering or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management, technical learning product marketing, business development or educational technology management
· Experience in cross-functional roles and a proven track record of delivering successful products to market
· Experience overseeing technical product roadmap strategy and definition
· Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
· Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
· Working knowledge of SQL and/or modern data analytics platforms such as AWS Quicksight or Tableau

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA or advanced quantitative/technical degree
· Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
· Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the landscape
· Experience in managing customer facing applications for both web and mobile
· Experience with customer development and validating products through customer feedback
· A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a proven track record of shipping software quickly then iterating on the experience
· Enterprise software development experience
· Extensive hands-on experience working across multiple disciplines, presenting findings to an executive audience and publishing findings in written format
· Experience as owner with the ability to drive prioritization consensus across business units and serve as an effective liaison between customers and engineering.
· Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
