Job duties:

  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of Coupa Invoicing products feature development projects and lead the software design architecture for new Invoicing features especially in the AP Automation area.
  • Manage Coupa’s AP Automation Product project execution to ensure adherence to Coupa release schedules, and own the feature scope.
  • Design guidelines for new feature implementation in an Object Oriented Software environment.
  • Define feature project scope by logically assess and identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Assess customer needs and priorities by communicating directly with customers, identify market trends, and find innovation opportunities that sets Coupa’s AP Automation solution apart from our competitors.
  • Collect data and prepare analytical reports about customer needs and what potential software partners relationships could bring additional value to the Coupa Invoicing product.
  • For every release cycle work closely with the project software developers to identify and resolve problems as they occur – these could be related to feature function but also underlying software development frameworks and databases.
  • Be responsible for monitoring and tracking of feature project milestones and deliverables to ensure project execution success.
  • Be responsible for all featureproject deliverables – functional design, oversee technical design, receive design approval, feature delivery – ensuring adherence to Coupa’s stringent quality standards.
  • Develop and manage work breakdown structures (WBS) of information technology projects as a part of new feature development for Coupa’s AP Automation area.
  • Take full ownership of any changes to feature project plans, this includes initiation, review, or approval of modifications to feature development feature project plans.
  • Provide bi-weekly status reports for projects by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends – for example feature utilization, customer escalations, current release work, next release cycles work.
  • Full end to end ownership of the feature projects communication plans – this includes internal as well as external communication.

Required Skills:

  • Agile software development, test-driven development, unit testing and test automation;
  • Software design architecture;
  • Object oriented software design; 
  • Using software development framework: SOAP; and
  • Using database tool: SQL.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Management, or a related field and 2 years of work experience as Applications Developer, Senior Product Manager, Product Manager, or a related occupation required.  Employer accepts experience gained before or after obtaining Master’s degree.  The required work experience must be in the field of banking or other financial services.
