The Homepage & Events team is seeking a seasoned, ambitious, self-motivated, and customer-oriented Marketing Manager to help us build excellent customer experiences. Our mission is to create best-in-class customer experience where customers will discover and buy seasonally relevant items. The Marketing Manager is a pivotal role that executes the customer-facing cross-site Homepage & Event strategies for Amazon.com across all of our key events (Prime Day, Holidays, Back-to-School, Valentine’s Day, etc.). Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple teams, vendors, partners, and management. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, great at meeting multiple deadlines, and comfortable with new software tools.



Key Responsibilities
· Execution of the high-velocity event plans as per site merchandising calendar. This includes email programs, new product launches, executing Amazon site-wide events, and Homepage content.
· Will be responsible for developing and executing content experimentation initiatives, analyzing metrics and providing actionable insight into performance, as well as making recommendations on marketing plans.
· Coordinate with multiple teams to provide thorough and authoritative creative content.
· Create merchandising operating procedures to maintain a high level of productivity with consistent high quality across global event teams.
· Conduct regular quality control of our website by drawing on quantitative results.
· Successfully troubleshoots merchandising issues and implements fixes.



Scope: The Marketing Manager role on the Onsite Experience Team (OSE) works with teams across the company, in order to deliver high-quality content that aligns both with Amazon’s corporate strategies and is relevant to the customer. This Marketing Manager will be specifically focused on helping to deliver on the ideal onsite experience for two key events: WW Prime Day and US Holidays. In order to be effective in this role, the Marketing Manager regularly works with category marketing leads, merchandisers, product managers, program managers, and designers. These interactions can include everything from contributing to event wireframing and traffic planning for critical corporate events, like Black Friday and Prime Day, to fielding low-level questions about how content actually appears onsite. It is not unrealistic to state that during a regular week, a Marketing Manager for the OSE will interact with multiple categories and programs, with different missions and requests, working together to build a cohesive onsite presence that supports crucial marketing efforts and delivers a world class customer experience.

Responsibilities: A Marketing Manager on the OSE owns developing an onsite marketing strategy, creation of traffic drivers across all placement locations (Homepage, Search, Detail, etc.), and final delivery of the onsite experience for how content appears on Event pages. This includes frequent communication with Event leads across categories and programs, development of traffic plans, the establishment and enforcement of merchandising SLAs, making sure all internal partner SLAs are met (design approvals, translation support, etc.), monitoring content performance, publishing content testing plans, and analyzing testing results. Working on some of the most heavily trafficked and merchandised pages on Amazon, an OSE Marketing Manager is consistently engaged in helping teams from across Amazon to test and optimize content through Event landing pages and Homepage placements for Events. This role also requires continually creating and updating ever-evolving SOPs, trainings, and communications on how to execute and deliver using tools (Content Symphony, Gift Finder, etc.).


Deliverables: An OSE Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering a world class onsite experience for our customers year-round. This manifests itself as Homepage takeovers (Prime Day & Turkey 5 Holidays), their corresponding HVE landing pages, their corresponding landing pages (and secondary pages), cross site traffic drivers for all the above events, and deals widget configurations and implementation for all deals related events.

Basic Qualifications


· 3+ years of marketing experience
· Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
· Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
· Comfortable working across multiple stakeholder teams.
· Ability to thrive under ambiguous and shifting priorities in a high-growth environment.
· Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
· Success in managing complex and multi-faceted marketing programs with the ability to drive projects through to completion.
· Basic XML/HTML skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working with remote, international business teams.
· Experience managing large amounts of data through SQL is a plus.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, retail teams, and technical managers.
· Ability to learn new software and technology tools quickly.
· Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate credible forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously.
· Advanced XML/HTML skills.
